Hi Carl,
That rings a bell, but I can't put my finger on what the issue was. If you trace this, do you notice anything?
Are you specifying a user ID and password? If so - are they data page references rather than actual values?
Traceroute from the Pega server to the mail server works fine.
No user ID/password (well, I have something filled in, probably default/default)--it's supposed to be an open relay inside our firewall.
Hi Carl,
Can you run Tracer from within the developer portal and then reproduce the issue. Does that show any error?
As far as your user ID / password, I'm not sure what exactly you mean. If you're not specifying one of these values, this may be the reason you see the issue. If this is the case, you may need a hotfix for this, which you would need to request via a support request. I say 'may' because I'm not certain what release this is fixed in.
Following to the Nicholas queries, is the behaviour seen on all the browsers?
Same behavior in both Chrome and IE 11.
Accepted Solution
We started having a couple other problems where things that worked fine previously started not doing anything, with no error messages. I went ahead and restarted the PRPC server, and now the e-mail connectivity test is working properly, as are the other functions that were causing problems. Go figure.
