Test Email Account Connectivity Fails

I have installed the Pega Personal edition and trying to do a POC. I am trying to setup email account using GMAIL and YAHOO Mail but it is failing. Could someone please help?

Hi Sathish,

Can you please turn on the Less secure app access for Gmail/yahoo and try to connect.

This will help you do "Change account access for less secure apps" and it should be working for you post this.

Hello Sathish,

In your Gmail, click on the gear icon -> Settings -> Forwarding and POP/IMAP 

Under the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, make sure you turn on the 'Enable POP' and 'Enable IMAP'

Also make sure to turn on the 'Less secure app access' in your gmail account under security tab.

Hi Satish,

      First try by changing port number to 587 for gmail

      Please turn on Less security app in yahoo account/gmail account

      Try test connectivity again

Hi,

Please verify the ports of your Yahoo and Gmail(587 for Gmail).

Also, allow security feature 'Less secure app access' in Gmail.

The same applies for Yahoo security features.

Try test connectivity.

Please delete all the existing accounts and create with name default.
