reopening resolved cases through button
Hi All,
Can anyone please help me with the customization of reopening the resolved- cases through button. On click of reopen, I should move to the second stage of my Case type directly.
It would be helpful if detailed configuration shared if any,

You can use Pega's OOTB activity work- .Reopen to reopen a resolved work object.
If you want to reopen to a specific stage you can use Work-.pyReopenToStage .By default, it shows the flow action to reopen the last stage in the flow action, with an alternate choice to change to any stage. You can customize Work-.pyReopenToStage.

@NirmalaJ2240 Pega has always provided Out-Of-The-Box reopen Activities and FlowActions, could you use one of those adding some customization to reach your business needs.
We would recommend you excercise caution when using a custom 'reopen' functionality.

Extending the reopen functionality
The best practice for customizing the reopen functionality is to extend several extensions points provided by Pega Platform. To extend the OOTB functionality, use the following extension points:

Extending the reopen functionality
The best practice for customizing the reopen functionality is to extend several extensions points provided by Pega Platform. To extend the OOTB functionality, use the following extension points:
- ReopenDefaults activity
- This extension point activity is invoked in all scenarios in which a case is reopened. For example, this extension point can be used to set pyFLowName to a different flow name and open a different flow, other than the default flow, when the case is reopened.
- pyReopenToStage flow
- This flow is invoked when the case uses stages.

@MarijeSchillern Can you please share some more detailed information/passing parameter to the activity in order to move to particular stage in resolved cases, If possible.
In my case, I am using the stages in case type and while reopen I want to go to second stage by default.

You can make use of .reopenWorkObject to open resolved cases. Attached screen-shot for reference. You need to pass 2 parameters explicitly to reopen resolved cases.
Param.flowName = Flow Name = Need to pass the flow name in which case needs to land after reopening the case in the particular stage. If in-case case needs to be re-opened and case needs to jump to second flow instead of first flow in stage then you can pass the flow name in this parameter.
Param.ChangeToStage = Stage Name - In your scenario pass the second stage name value as input to this parameter.
Other 2 parameters will get pre-populated, no need to change anything in that.
