Our client wants to upgrade from Pega Marketing 7.22 to 8.1. Can anyone give insights on how to plan the regression test for this? The ultimate goal is to ensure that old campaigns still work fine after the upgrade.
The easiest way to do this would be to re-run your original tests to ensure you are still getting the same results as you did originally. Any OOTB functionality should work as intended post upgrade, so re-testing campaigns shouldn't need to happen in theory, but would make sense from a sense checking perspective. Any modifications and customization should definitely be re-tested.
