Can we upgrade Pega marketing 7.1 to pega marketing 7.4 directly?
Hi Team,
Can we upgrade Pega marketing 7.1 to pega marketing 7.4 directly? or we need to upgrade Pega marketing through hub.

Hi,
We have started supporting this type of jump only from the 8.1 version (i.e anywhere from 7.13 you can jump to 8.1. Earlier versions like 7.4 you will have to unfortunately do one at a time.
Given 8.1 is already GA, I believe that might be much easier to upgrade than to 7.4, please consider that.
i.e 7.11-->7.12-->7.13-->8.1
if you are doing to 7.4, it would be 7.11-->7.12-->7.13-->7.21-->7.31-->7.4

Hi Sriram,
Thanks for the quick reply. To elaborate further, our application is in Pega 7.1.6, built on Marketing FW 7.11. Does this mean we cannot use the UI tool to upgrade our platform from 7.1.6 to 7.4 due to such Marketing FW restrictions?
Or could there be an alternative where we do upgrade the platform from 7.1.6 to 7.4 using the UI upgrade tool and install Marketing 7.4 FW on top of it and rebuild the marketing components?
