Email channel not working: error with starting listener
Hi all,
I have created an Email channel in Pega 8.6 and the email account ,listener are configured accordingly.But when i click on verify email account in the Email channel it shows no active listeners found. In admin studio, when i try to start the listener manually it is giving the below error:
Failed to launch listener, com.pega.pegarules.pub.PRException: Unable to initialize email client, terminating listener.
Email account has been configured as per the screenshot attached below.
Has anyone faced the same issue?

@AparnaV20 How about the test connectivity in the email account? Is that working?

Yes it is working. status good is returned, but when i click on verify from the email channel it is showing no listener found

Can you delete the listener and create it manually and then again try to connect from the channel.

@Tanay Kumar Bal Thanks for the suggestion. i tried that but still getting the error when starting the listener "unable to initialize email client"
@AparnaV20 Is the issue resolved. If so can you please help me with the inputs of how to overcome this.

@Tanay Kumar BalI am also facing same issue in 8.6 version which was upgraded from 8.4 few months back.
I have deleted the listener and re-created again , email account connectivity is good.can you please advise if you guys have any suggestions on this?

Please check your Email listener requestor login section.
For me when I gave valid credential, I can successfully added my listener.

@AparnaV20Receiver side connection is failing, unless connection status is stable it wont work. Check the logs while doing connection test for email account.
@AparnaV20 Please check if IMAP certification is valid.
You can check with your system admin Team (Who manages Server configuration)

check the email account connectivity once.
If you are using basic Auth check the credentials for the operator used in the listener config.
then check the connectivity
