We are getting the below message on PDC. (We are on Pega Managed cloud) .
"The average processing time for listener listener_name of type Email Listener exceeds the configured threshold. Average processing time: 155059 ms."
I find the below article in community. However not very sure if the performance issue is code related or something else. Is it possible that a code related performance issue ( the service activity issue) results in this error? Or is t purely related to the size of the emails or threshold set on listener?
Request --> Total Email Message entire Lifetime
Processed --> Total Email Processed in Lifetime
Pending [While beginning of cycle] --> No of unread messages from inbox [Count when listeners wakeup in each cycle]
Errors --> Total Errors
Total Processing time (ms) --> Total time for processing all email in listeners Lifecycle
Avg. processing time (ms) --> Ave. processing time per message in most recent processed cycle.
OPS0038 --> Email average message processing time exceed threshold [60sec]
Maybe we have lots of attachments of higher size in emails or we might be calling a external service in the process of creation on case its better if we can trace the service activity to understand which step took the most time.
