Issue with Pega 8.1 installation.

Hi,

While I am installing pega personal edition it is throwing an error message it is throwing following error message, does anyone know how to resolve this.

SEVERE:Connection error

org.posrgresql.util.PSQLException: Connection to localhost: 5432 refused. Check thye hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP Connections.

Hi, 

The issue got resolved, There is a older version of pega files are still existing in my PC.

I removed those files and installed pega, Installation was successful.

It looks like while installation it is not able to connect to the DB and port is likely the suspect here.

Check if the port is available or not.

Could you please attach the complete stack trace as well.
