Error while installing Pega 8.1 PE

Database Server Installation has failed during installing PE with below error-

java.lang.ClassCastException: java.base/jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader cannot be cast to java.base/java.net.URLClassLoader

Attached the log file having more details on this error.

Any responses are appreciated.

Hi Satish,

As per the shared log file, noticed that you are using Java 10 which is not supported by Pega Infinity as explained below in the support guide,

Pega Infinity™ supports Java 8 and will support Java 11 when it becomes available (currently scheduled for late September 2018). Java 9 is out of support as of March 2018, and Java 10 is out of support as of September 2018, so those versions are not being certified with Pega Infinity.

So try to install Java 8 to proceed further, hope that answers your query.
