It seems that pega8.1 have some issues with Weblogic when you are force to change the password in the first login with the administrator. My recommendation is to use Tomcat to deploy pega and everything will work as expected. But if you need to use weblogic, then I suggest to deploy Pega for the first time in tomcat, change the password of the admin, and then redeploy in weblogic, then uncheck the "Force password change on next login" option for every operator you use.

I have to say that with the same configuration of weblogic I have installed pega 7.4 in another VM

still not able to fix this problem.
We tried to upgrade pega7.4 (which is working) as well. And we are able to log in with the administrator user. But if we try to log in with other user we face exactly the same error.
Any suggestions??

Correcting an HTTP authentication issue with Oracle WebLogic Server9.2 and later
Oracle WebLogic Server 9.2 and later intercept requests with "Authentication" in the header and does authentication without forwarding requests to the application. This can cause authentication errors withPega Platform. To avoid this error, edit the WebLogic config.xml file to disable basic authentication. For more information about the WebLogic config.xml file, see the WebLogic documentation.

As I said, I successfully installed pega 7.4, so I am basically doing every step I did before to install 8.1.
Like I did in the 7.4, I already configure the config.xml in the new machine in which I am deploying my app server. I added this line within <security-configuration>:
<enforce-valid-basic-auth-credentials>false</enforce-valid-basic-authcredentials>
and of course I am getting the error mentioned before.
There is something else that I have to configure in my weblogic server in the 8.1 comparing with the 7.4 and it is not mentioned in the installation guide?
Maybe before I did not explain myself properly. In parallel of a new installation, we are trying to upgrade the 7.4 environment.(we clone this environment in another VM) In this case, we are able to log in with the [email protected] and others operator created by pega, but sadly, if we create a new operator, again we get the same error.

Mind you I have the same issue and the same environment. By the way my first attempts were at deploying this EAR file named: prpc_wls_jee14_ws.ear (I was interpreting 'ws' as Weblogic Server). But this file was only giving errors with JNDI lookup for the message topics for Pega (the ones we configure on the install guide).
THen I resorted to installing/deploying the prpc_j2ee14.ear in the same Pega 8.1 bundle. This one installs and we get to the login screen like Alvaro. But then I get the same error with location having carriage return and life feed characters (CR LF). Yes this is a windows install. But who is introducing the CR LF? They seem to be on the response from the server and not request (see exception trace). I am going to start investigating whether my Browser location sent to and from in the HTTP request has some garbage in it, but I doubt it. I would appreciate some help. I am working for Pega systems directly, on a Pega assignment. Help is much much appreciated.

Is there any other known solution to this that does not require using tomcat to deploy?
I am also seeing the very same issue, using WebLogic Server Version: Proprietary information hidden.0 and Oracle Database Proprietary information hidden.0 Enterprise Edition.
Installing Tomcat on the server, to deploy Pega is not really an option.
