Oracle database users while Pega installation.
Hi Team ,
Installation documentation says that Pega will require three different DB user during installation using split schema configuration.
1. Deployment user (It is mentioned that it can be deleted after deployment)
2. Admin User
3. Base user
Deployment user and Admin user access seems exactly same. Can same user be used as a deployment user as well as Admin user?
We are referring to below guide.

Hi Gaurav,
If you refer the guide it is mentioned that, In a dualuser configuration, an Admin user is granted full privileges, and a Base user is granted a smaller subset(Page 12).
So the permissions are not exactly same.
But however if you dont want to use dual user configuration, you can create a single Base user with both sets of privileges. If there is no separate Admin user, the Pega Platform uses the Base user for all run-time operations(Page 13).

Thanks for quick reply. We understand that base user has smaller subset of access. But, the question was asked for Deployment User (Mentioned in Page 13) and Admin User (Page 14) where we saw the exact same privileges.
Page 12, additionally talks about Deployment User mentioned below.
"Deployment user — The user who runs the installation. After the installation, you can remove this user."
So the question was , if we can use the same user as Installation or Deployment user and Admin User (Which will be mapped to PEGARules).

Hi Gaurav,
User mapped to the PegaRules schema would the user that you would configure on the application server JDBC configuration.
It can be called the runtime or base user.

Yes you can use the same user for deployment given proper privileges to the user.
