Installing Pega 7.4 in Oracle 12c
Hi!
I am trying to installing Pega 7.4 (split schema) on an Oracle 12c database. and get the below error.
Java is not installed in database.
Is there any way around this?
I thought java was required only if you wanted to use UDF:s and thus not mandatory...?
The customer is veeery leary of installing java in their database since it's shared with other application, none of which have this requirement of java.

I found a couple of support articles. It seems that the java oracle component is still required.

Thank you for your answer, I have however found a solution.
When installing Pega Platform there is a parameter bypass.udf.generation if set to true it's possible to install without having to instal java in the DB. This is explained in Appendix D where it's explained how to install UDFs. Didn't completely read this before since I didn't want to do this...
So it is actually possible to perform the install.
