Case Automatically Closes upon the Submission of an Optional Action
Hi all,
Requirement:
In the case type, it has a list of optional actions. The user can add a document as an optional action.
Current Situation:
Once the user adds the document and clicks submit on the Optional Action's window, it closes the case automatically and launches the Home Page. However, the case remains in the original status (doesn't progress) and the history gets added correctly.
Ideal Situation:
Once the user adds the document and clicks submit on the Optional Action window, the user should be routed to the current primary stage's UI, where the user was working on. It should not close the case.
Is there any approach to fix this? I'm using Pega V8.5.3.

Create a New Flow Action:
- In your case type, create a new flow action specifically for submitting the document.
- Customize the flow action to include the required fields for submitting the document.
- Ensure that the "Post - processing" configuration of the flow action doesn't close the case but rather stays on the current assignment.
Configure Post-Processing Actions:
- In the flow action's post-processing configuration, you can include actions to update the case status or perform any other necessary tasks.
- Make sure these actions don't close the case but keep it in the current status.
