Can a Group have the same name as an existing Business Issue?
Hi, we are "renovating" an existing taxonomy and moving to a new structure.
We are trying to create a new group "Insurance" under business issue "Sales". But there is already an existing business issue "Insurance" - which is legacy and we will eventually decommission it.
We don't yet want to decommission the legacy issues yet as there are live actions in production under these.
Upon trying to create a Group with the same name as an existing Business Issue I get the error: "Name has already been used, please select another" in the Taxonomy tab of NBA Designer.
Do we need to remove the legacy issue with the same name before we can create this new group?

In NBA Designer, you cannot create a group with the same name as an existing business issue. This is because groups and business issues are two different categories in the Pega Decision Management taxonomy and cannot have the same name.
If you want to create a new group under the "Sales" business issue with the name "Insurance", you will need to rename the existing "Insurance" business issue to something else. This will free up the name so you can use it for the new group.
However, as you mentioned that there are live actions in production under the existing "Insurance" business issue, renaming it may not be feasible at this time. In this case, you could consider using a slightly different name for the new group, such as "Insurance Products" or "Insurance Sales".
Alternatively, you could create a new business issue under "Sales" with a different name, such as "Insurance Sales". This would allow you to create a group with the name "Insurance" under the new business issue without affecting the existing "Insurance" business issue.
Once you are ready to decommission the existing "Insurance" business issue, you can rename or delete it as needed.
