After the case creation from an activity, assignment is not pulled automatically from the work queue on Pega 8.5 Version.
In the previous version there is pyStartCase flow when we select the 'Also consider an assignment in a work queue' it will pull assignment from the work queue after case creation. This option is not available in 8.5 as we have initialize stage replacing the starting process. Old case types are working fine only case types created on the 8.5 have this issue
Any one know is it Pega product issue or any option available to open the assignment after case created.

@PavanB75 I don't know if there is an option to do this, I have tried but I didn't find that. I hope someone can help us with that.
But, if you want that behaviour, I have found a workaround. We have to re-create the pyDefault case type again, and when we save the new pyDefault, the pyStartCase will be created and added automatically to our case type, so we can configure the pyStartCase to open the first assignment automatically.
@PavanB75 I got the same issue in 8.5.2 and the reason of this happening is due to this "pega.desktop.infinity.createNewWorkInDialogContainer" function call in Cosmos UI.
pyCreateCaseMenu navigation in Theme-Cosmos ruleset is using pega.desktop.infinity.createNewWorkInDialogContainer function to create the case and open the UI. However this function somehow triggers the DoClose after correctly opening the page so the case displays in Review mode rather than Perform.
You can easily make this working by calling the create work function directly than calling through pega.desktop.infinity.createNewWorkInDialogContainer function.
