Attach a document received from external system to work object

Below is the scenario
1. we have a rest service which will return url of word document, we mapped this to one property in pega and used this to download the file by clicking on that url returned by service.
2. we need to attach this file to work object,
please shed some light on this to attach the file to work object received from external system as url.
