External system receiving multiple requests

When submitting a request through Connect-SOAP, the external system is receiving multiple requests. Can anyone help me in this....

How you are arrived at that a single Connect-SOAP execution resulting multiple requests ? Is all requests are exactly the same ?

Is Connect-SOAP configured for non-preemptive authentication or STS ? If so, multiple requests will be triggered for handshaking purpose.

Can you sniff the request (including headers part) by using tool like TCPMon and see if it is a duplicate request or a handshake request ?
