Overlap issue in OOTB Dropdown control with IE
Hi,
Our client is complaining because OOTB dropdowns are presenting overlaping issues with IE.
Usually the very first time you are using the drop-down values are presented below the field itself. However, if you select a value for example in the middle of the list, and then come back again to the drop-down the values are not presented below, value are presented overlapping the field.

This is reproducible using Pega 7.1.7 and Pega 7.1.9. Only with IE. Anyone knows if is there a fix or HFix for that?

Hi Laura,
this is the way IE works with drop downs.
It has nothing to do with Pega, and it is not a bug or anything. if working as Microsoft designed it. If I recall it correctly it is something that started with IE 10 (?)
So the <select> <options> center per default on the selected one as absolute medium, if you select the first one again, it will work as in older versions of IE or as in other Browsers
So this will happen with ANY Pega version, from the very first to the very last... (you name it: 5.*, 6.*, 7.*...)
You can do the test with any other website outside of Pega, I am 99% sure you will be able to reproduce the behaviour.
If the customer has issue with how IE works, maybe they should think about using an alternative browser?
