Issue with dropdown display mode in Pega Out-of-the-box (OOTB) DateTime control

I have one scenario to be created in which the user would select date and time from dropdown values but it seems there is an issue with dropdown display mode in Pega Out-of-the-box (OOTB) DateTime control because it shows 31 days for every month and also in addition to this, I want time to be appeared in 24 hr format instead AM/PM format.  Is there any way I can achieve this scenario. Please suggest!!

Thanks @YvesT304 for replying.... I went through the given above article and it is worth reading but this solution wouldn't work here...as I need to show the date in 24 hr format instead of am/pm in the UI using DateTime control.DateTime control with dropdown display mode
