Unable to export excel (OOTB) from report definition
Hi,
we have upgraded PRPC from 7.4 to 8.4 and while trying to download the excel from any report definition be it application specific or OOTB, it fails saying "There has been issue. please contact administrator".
In Logs can see the below :

Caused by: com.pega.pegarules.pub.PRRuntimeException: Section 'pzRDExportWrapper' execution error on page 'pegaInternalReportTempPage' of class 'Rule-Obj-Report-Definition'. : null
Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException at sun.awt.FontConfiguration.getVersion(FontConfiguration.java:1264) ~[?:1.8.0_252] at sun.awt.FontConfiguration.readFontConfigFile(FontConfiguration.java:219) ~[?:1.8.0_252]
The application is running on java 8 and we could also see the fontconfig file already installed on the server..
Any leads ?

Hi anurag,
This issue has been reported and noticed in past not just with export to excel but on pdf export as well.
Common issue : The OpenJDK package used did not have JDK. Instead, the package contained JRE.

Hello Sushant,
I did look into these forums but everything looks on the server, I have the dejavu and fontconfig both installed in the server and the application is using open jdk. And also the download for the pdf works but fails for the excel export..

Hi,
We have noticed this problem with the openjdk-8-jre-headless installation. The loading of the font require awt X11, which is missing from headless version of JRE.
Can you install openjdk-8-jre (without headless) and update us with the out come?
If the issue persist kindly confirm the exact version and vendor for JDK.
