Importing application product jar files created in version 6.3 into version 7

Hi,

I am having trouble importing application product jar files created in version 6.3 into version 7.1. I am unable to open any rule in the new version. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi BalaN257,

You can not directly import a RAP (Rule Application Product) (.jar) file produced in PRPC 6.3 into Pega 7.1. The way to upgrade an application from PRPC 6.3 to Pega 7.1 is to run the Installation and Upgrade Assistant (IUA) against your PRPC 6.3 Database repository. Once the Repository has been upgraded to Pega 7.1 you can then export the application as a RAP file and then import it into other Pega 7.1 repositories. For more information on using the Installation and Upgrade Assistant in Pega 7.1 please search the PDN for "Installation and Upgrade Assistant" and then download the appropriate Upgrade Guide for the version of PRPC you are upgrading too.
