Problem in Connect Java with .jar file created on application with JDE version 1.8.0

Hello Experts,

We are going to use a Connect Java to get info from a system which has version 1.8.0 while in Pega PRPC v7.1.8 we have Java version 1.6.0. Please suggest how to address this problem.

Hello shivendrak6931,

You can update the version of java for your Pega 7.1.8 environment. After the update make sure you set the JAVA_HOME variable to point to the new version. But you must also take into consideration the supported java for your Application Server and possible Database which will also be affected by the update! You must check the Pega Support Guides to confirm the supported versions.
