Use StuffIt Expander to extract the vm.

Once you have it extracted, you'll get a folder two sub-folders: server and applications.

You will need to use a vm player for OS X. The Quick Start Guide available in the Downloading the Exercise System lesson has instructions for how to use VMWare Fusion, but it also includes instructions on how to get started with Parallels or VirtualBox (although VirtualBox is a bit more tricky than what I wrote in that guide, so if that is what you plan on using, let me know and I can provide more details).

The file you will want to run is prpc.vmx in the server sub-folder.

and be warned that there are still some record types in Pega 7 that are only compatabile with IE. You can use the same vm running on your Mac, but you will need to access Pega 7 from IE. I typically start up a Windows vm along with the Pega 7 vm, then use IE long enough to do what I need to do, then go right back to the comfort of OS X.

Hi,

for pega6.2 sp2 application, we have recently upgrading our IE's to 11 version and installed hotfixes to support, but while testing when ever we click on the dropdown the background color is getting changed. any suggestions will be helpful.
