Clicking Download in the Downloading Exercise System lesson downloads a 5.5gb file named ui_718_pvs_20150723.txt. The instructions say to "double-click" or "execute" this file. Even after changing the extension to .exe I cannot successfully execute this file. I receive the error that the file "is not a valid Win32 application".
Unfortunately the problem you experience is due to a limitation in Windows where an .exe file > 4GB cannot be executed. Therefore even though the PVS is created as a self-extracting archive file, the total size exceeds 4 GB and cannot be "executed" by simply clicking on it.
The instructions should actually require you to use 7-zip to open the .exe file. Can you go to http://www.7-zip.org, download and install the tool, then use it to open the .exe file manually? You can then use the drag/drop method to extract out the contents of the PVS.
Sorry for the inconvenience. In hindsight, the PVS should simply be created as a .zip file. :-)
