Auto Word Merge without launching word

Is there a way to do a word merge without actually launching word? Or at least making it transparent. We need to generate a document by performing a word merge and then attaching it to the work item but without actually displaying word to the user. Ideally doing this upon the submit of a flow action.

Hi,

Can I know which version of PRPC you are using? It seems we have an hot fix for this issue in 6.1 SP2 which automates the process of word merge without the user interaction. You can probably contact the Pega support team for resolution to this problem.

I just don't know how to do it.  That's really my problem.  Does it have something to do with pyAutoWordMergeTest?  I don't understand how to use this.
