Word Merge Dependency on Silverlight
Hi,
We have an application which is implementing the Word merge feature. The application was in version 6 but has recently been moved to version 7.3.1. I understand you need standard Silverlight installation and two registry entry settings for the Word Merge to work. It appears the Windows security team is is not very keen to allow this registry settings as per org policy. So I am trying to find out if there any solution available from Pega side to remove dependencies from the registry entries and still allow word merge to happen.

These requirements cannot be removed. But to be fair, even back when you were on PRPC 6.x using ActiveX, the registry requirements were still in play.

Perhaps your IT would be convinced at that point.

I tested in Pega 6 without having the registry settngs. It worked without any dependency. However for Pega 7 it exclusively asked for the reg settings. I am talking about the two DWORD settings in the Silverlight folder of registry.
