I have never enabled "Default" Workpool Email Account (see attached screenshot). I only created Email Accounts for my custom Workpool in my past experience. Now, I am needing to enable this "Default" guy because I need to enable "Forgot password" functionality which is newly introduced in 7.3 release. This requires "Default" Workpool Email Account.
My question is what the outcome of enabling this "Default". What kind of e-mails would be sent out at what timing. Can anyone please list up typical examples so I can be sure it is okay to enable it (we do not want to just enable it and end up with finding out random / bunch of e-mails sent to users).
Example : if I create a purchase case 'oka-test-work' workpool. If correspondence need to send to customer, pega verifies whether there is any email account tagged with case workpool ? If yes, pega sends email from email account. If no,pega sends email from default email account.
Configure an email account
Default Email Account
Select this option if you want to configure the email account named Default.
Appears if you are not configuring the Default email account. Select a work pool from the list. The wizard uses the name of the work pool as the name of the EmailAccount instance. If an EmailAccount instance by this name already exists, some fields in the following screens are pre-populated with existing information.
Thanks for the info. So, if there is no Email account for the specific workpool then it will use Default Email account. I get that and will test if that is the case.
Now, my question is slightly different. Let's say we do not have any requirements to send an e-mail for work flow. So we are not creating any Email account for our workpool. However, since we want to use Forgot Password functionality, it is required to set the Default Email account. Now, just because we enable this Default Email Account, I want to know if there are any use cases that e-mail is sent out using this Default account (for example, Problem Flow, or any generic error handling or anything). Hope this clears out my question.
