Using Update Case Smart Shape data propagation from child to parent not working
Hi all,
i need your help on this topic. I am using Update Case smart shape from a flow of a child case to update his parent.
By the way, if the locking strategy is set to Default, the Update Case fails as soon as it finds the parent case locked. Due to this, data propagation from child to parent does not work, until parent case lock is released.
As two different business users, maybe in different offices, work simultaneously on both parent and child cases, I need to queue the update from child to parent in order to let Pega automatically launch the retry, avoiding to block the user working on the child case.
Hoping to have given you a clear picture of my requirement, any idea or experience on how to face it?

You can write one standard agent in which you can have your logic
Approach-2:
you can use optimistic locking, so you can still use update case shape.
