In pega we have several methods to propagate the data or update the data on the parent form child case. You can use the data transform by using the class pyWorkCover or you can take the page reference and set the data on the page or you can use the smart shape 'update case' to propagate the data.

4. Directly from Data propagation ( you can find it case lifecyle --> Settlings --> Data propagation) 

Hi Jibran,

Data transform will work to copy the data from child to parent but the remaining three option will not use. Data propagation is only for copying the data from parent to child not for child to parent.
