Update work status to resolved cancel using case wide local action
HI ,
I have a case a local action in care header , which shows a cancel message and cancel button which allows to cancel a task at any point of time. post cancel the status should be resolved cancelled.
I am using - Update status activity and cancel action in action set.
also tried
Update status activity and finish assignment action in action set.
all giving final result as resolved completed . the status gets updated using the activity but gets overridden during the cancel or finishassignment processing.

While calling finishassignment activity, try passing the caseStatus parameter as Resolved Cancelled as see if that works.

only passing that param throws error there are other params too what has to be passed there, if you could help in that too. pyharness- should be the one that is in screen or the one that has to be loaded post finish assignment?

Create an Alternate Stage "Resolved" mark it as resolution stage and do not provide any status for it .you can reuse this stage at any place in the application where you want to cancel /reject /close the Workitem.
Now in your scenario, onclick of cancel button ,
1)Call Update status and pass the desired status as parameter'
2)Call Change stage and pass the Resolved Stage as parameter.(this will clean up assignments)
3) Refresh this harness to load the confirmation harness (you can set confirmation note -"workitem cancelled")
