Troubleshooting Output DB Template
How can I troubleshoot the output DB template execution after I run the primary schedule for an outbound campaign?
I have created an external email treatment that is mapped to my actions. After I run the outbound campaign I am not getting any results in the DB template even though the run was completed and the NBA strategy returned results.
I have followed the guidance on Pega Academy however that is not explicitly explained how to configure a DB template for an external email treatment.
I have used the "Finalize template at the end of each outbound run" in the DB template landing page however when I select preview the CSV file is empty.
Any idea how I can investigate the issue further?

There are a few things you can do to verify the DB output template finalization status.
On the DB template tab of the Treatment landing, there is a status indication for each template. This will show Failed in case of an error during finalization.
Another spot to check is the History tab of the DB Template itself. The History tab includes a table of Finalization History. This should include an entry for the finalization triggered at the end of each run. It includes a status and number of rows finalized.
If you have the necessary access checking the destination table's content directly would be a way to confirm the content.
Also, you mentioned the .CSV file generated by the Preview option is empty. This does not necessarily indicate a problem. This indicates that there are no entries that are pending finalization. You can also confirm this by expanding the row for your template and checking the 'Estimated Staged Records' value. This will be 0 if your run is complete and the finalization was triggered. This would also be 0 if the outbound run did not yield Actions that use this template.
