is there a way to set default time zone to cst in place of est for all user rather than doing it manually to each of them?
if most of our users are in the time zone other than the eastern time zone, we like to set our time zone as default to the operators during creation of operators, is there a way?
also, how can we give users a control to change their timezone while they be in another timezone?

- would it make sense to override OOTB RULE-OBJ-MODEL DATA-ADMIN-OPERATOR-ID PYDEFAULT to set pyDefaultTimeZone?
- works only if we Create an operator from scratch ...
- otherwise need to set a model operator rule and get the default settings applied when performed save-As.
- for existing operators, as Rajiv said, we may need to write an activity with when condition

- having an operational wizard for admin to list & update the operators and the current timezone values makes sense...?
fyi - if OOTB property pyDisableTimezoneConversion is set to true in extension activity ApplicationProfileSetup the time zone will default to GMT.

If we use SSO , then we can set model user's time zone whatever we want to default for the new operators, however, existing operators also need to change the timezone. Admins can change manually in their operators profile. However, we would like to give the users an ability to change their timezone as they travel to different timezone. And if there is a best practice on your question:
"how can we give users a control to change their timezone while they be in another timezone?"
