Is there an ootb way to search entire table for a string rather than just columns?
I have a table in a section sourced by a data page. Each column has the ootb search functionality. If I want to have to be able to enter text into a search field to search the whole table for the string is there any out of the box functionality of do I have to loop through each column?

Hi @JMark515: Can you please look into search and select option in UI Gallery. You can add required columns in your RD to do the filter using the search string. Please note that searching on a column without index will have performance issues if the table is huge. Also it is not recommended to create index for all columns. You may need to tune your table based on the need.

@ArulDevan Thank you. That was helpful. So this works if the table is based on a RD, but not a DP, right?
Also , what does the grid visibility .pySearchSelect = 1 do?

Hi @JMark515, You can achieve this using data page too. But based on your use case, data page is not a potential candidate for this.
Regarding visibility of grid, please see this. Still this depends on business requirement.
