Revert the work object status and assignment to previous state

How to revert the work object to previous state and previous assignment. Do we have any OOTB?

Application has multiple flows and sub flows, in revert action should exactly go previous state without any conflict in the flow and assignment.

There is no easy way to do that in Pega.

What exactly is the issue you are trying to solve by reverting the case?
