Remove Rule Set from Branch

Hi team,

I want to remove a rule set created in a branch. I'm getting option to delete but not to remove from the Branch.

Hi All,

Please find the update for  SR-A24451 below,

This SR talks about 2 things,

#1. ML9 and 7.2 provides a mechanism to remove a branched RuleSet from an application without having to remove the branch. But, fails to do so when tried.

#2. Requesting a working feature of 'Removing a Branched RuleSet' from the application while branch is still added to the Application in 7.1.5.

First, #1, visiblity of the right click context menu over Branched RS of a branch looks like a regression introduced in 7.1.9 and fixed in dev tip for 7.2.1.

For #2, It's working correctly. Since it's a bug in ML9 onwards, it can't be provided for 7.1.5.

Hi Aditya,

In your application rule, if you expand the branch it should show the rulesets underneath.  You can then right-click the one you want to remove and select 'Remove from Application'.

I'm using 7.1.5 that option is  not there. I tried in 7.1.9 option is pesent but when i perform that and save application it is not working (Still it is present)

Hi Aditya,

You are right, 7.1.5 don't have the option to Remove branch ruleset from application rule.  I too tried in 7.1.9 to remove the branch ruleset on application rule from using "Remove from application" and save. This ruleset disappears from the branch, but on rule-form refresh the ruleset comes back in.

For me this appears to be a bug, there should be some explanation on why the ruleset comes back in. However, you can log one SR stating this as "Product Defect" as there is an option to remove branch ruleset in designer studio.

We will take it forward.
