Saving a rule defaults into the Branch
How do we change the default of saving the rules into a local ruleset instead of branch? We tried locking down the branch ruleset but still defaults into it.

Short of temporarily removing the branch from your application, there isn't a way to set it to default to something other than the branch.
However, during an individual user session, it will persist the previous setting used. So if your set your first rule create to [no branch] > local ruleset, it will persist this for any other rules you create during your session (as applicable). However, it will reset to defaulting to the branch the next time you log in.
This certainly sounds like it would be a nice little setting to have. Let me take a look to see if someone may have already submitted an enhancement request regarding this. If I can't find anything, I'll submit one on your behalf.
