Branch is removed from application after merged branch in Pega 7.4 but 7.2.2

I know brach functionarity is enhanced in 7.3.

I have a question about branches feature which is not mentioned document above.

In 7.2.2, There are still remain branches in Application Definition.
For instance, BranchA is merged but it is still listed in branch list at application definition.

In 7.4, Merged branch is removed from branch list at application definition.

I feel that 7.4 behavior is right.
I would like to confirm that is this also enhanced implementation in 7.3.

Branch is removed from application definition when you merge branch in Pega 7.4 but branch remains in application definition in Pega 7.2.2.
I accept this behavior is enhanced since Pega 7.3.

You have to ideally follow some steps to delete the branch from system

You are right, If I need to delete branch I will follow steps you mentiond.
In my case,I am merging branch not deleting.
