Upgrade application from 7.2.2 to Pega 8.4

Hi Team,

Good day!

I was assigned to a upgrade project from 7.2.2 to 8.4. Please let me know about the below queries.

what are all the steps need to perform before and after upgrade?

what are all the issues we may get after upgrade?

Kindly share your experiences already part of any upgrade project. Thanks in Advance.

Hi Ramakrishna,

Please follow the process described in the Pega Upgrade Center here https://community.pega.com/upgrade

You can download the upgrade guide from the upgrade center for your DB and application server combination.

Please always upgrade to the latest version of Pega available, which is 8.4.2 as of today.

The issues that you might face depends on the current application quality and any customizations currently in the application. Its recommended to adopt the latest UI capabilities of Pega 8, as you go through the upgrade process.
