Upgrade to Pega 8.x from Pega 7.2.2

Hello Team.

We have application in Pega v7.2.2 in Oracle Weblogic server v Proprietary information hidden.0 , and there are major features that requires EAR deployment (e.g. JMS MDB Listener, Connect-EJB) and planning to perform an upgrade to feasible Pega 8.x version.

As per some documentations I went through, Pega 8.7 onwards, the EAR deployment is not available and any rule types which requires it, are no longer supported.

Can you please confirm if EAR deployment is supported until Pega 8.6 only? And if we want to upgrade to latest Pega version (e.g. Pega 8.8) we have have to go with WAR based deployment, is my understanding correct?

Hi,

First, Please share the References which you had gone through. I'll check and let you know.

As per my experience, Till Pega 8.3.x or 8.5.x, Both .ear and .war file deployments are supported in IBM Websphere environments. No Idea about Oracle one. I'll take a look on the inputs which you'll share it with me and confirm you.
