Purge and archive with new case archival data Reimport/Restore
Hi, While using the legacy purge/archive method, the system would archive data into .bin files and free up space in the Pega tables. If the business needed any data back or we ran into issues, we could reimport those archived ZIP files and restore the cases.
Recently, we started exploring the new Case Archival approach to archive data in batches—mainly because the legacy method was causing node health issues due to large case sizes. However, we noticed that with the new case archival, the data is saved in .csv format, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to reimport or restore those archived cases if needed (e.g., for business needs or recovery after a system failure).
Has anyone faced this or any suggested way to reimport/restore cases archived using the new case archival method?
Any suggestions or answers would be really helpful!

There is no OOTB method for reimporting the archived cases (in .csv format) back into the primary database. This is different from the legacy archival method, which may have had different restoration capabilities.
