Pre Upgrade tools for On premise environment (migration from 7.x to 8.6.1)

Hi Team,

Which are the tools that we can run for on premise setup during Pre Upgrade phase. Understand Pega provides Pega Upgrade Tools component that generates a manifest for overridden rules. 

Do we need to withdrawn all such rule?

Are there any other tools that can help us via migration from 7.x to 8.6.1

When you are performing an upgrade then there are 2 tools that you can run from Pega platform after upgrade.

- Configure > System > Release > Upgrade > Update Existing Applications

- Configure > System > Release > Upgrade > Upgrade Tools

Both of these tools have scripts running internally so you dont have to do anything specifically.

 

Also please refer to the upgrade guide which is having the steps to run these 2 tools in post upgrade steps.
