[PEGA 7.1.6] Installation of Pega on AWS
Amazon is saying that RDS does not support Java for Oracle 11g, which is what we are on, and they won't install it. They say you can do this with an EC2 instance, but AIG wants to use a RDS instance. Is this possible? Or do they have to switch to EC2? Are there any workarounds for RDS?

Java is not supported in RDS Oracle. There is no workaround for this at the moment.

There are no work around available so far , for Java support on Oracle RDS. Please see the link below from one of the discussion.

If your application is not using UDF by pega, then you can run Pega in AWS stack with RDS ( Currently it's possible using "bypass.udf.generation=true" )
