[PEGA 7.1.6] Integration with Application Performance Monitoring (APM)
Hi Everyone,
My client is asking if we support any integration with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) provided by Computer Associates.

I have already explained to them the tools available within Pega to do this very thing, but they are insistent on me following up regarding this integration as well.
They also mentioned E2E, but I am not quite sure if this is related to CA APM.
I appreciate your assistance determining if we support this or if it is feasible to support with a little bit of work.

Hi Fran,
It advised to encourage the customer to use AES.It provides a very solid platform for application managers and owners to drive a continuous improvement process, identify and prioritize their performance and quality issues, and track and trend responsiveness as seen from PRPC perspective. It also provides a nice set of PRPC management features and useful monitoring for critical events not caught by conventional infrastructure monitoring tools, like agent failures. Plus, its an extensible framework.
I think your end customer is talking about 'Wily Introscope', it has been acquired by CA some years ago, it's a quite common monitoring platform.
I could see below link where some impact was addressed while using CA Wily Introscope to monitor PRPC.
I am not sure whether we will support the latest CA monitoring tools.However given these tools should be transparent to the application their usage is perfectly fine (most of the times). In case of bugs affecting the third party tool they have to ask vendor support to address them.
Further we will wait and see what an integration expert has to say about it.
