Not able to download log from Pega application and using SMA
I have my Pega 7.2 installed on WebLogic 12c and Oracle. It is asking for credentials while downloading logs from application as well as from SMA.
From application getting below error
Error 403--Forbidden
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
<IP address> Forbidden
The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it. Authorization will not help and the request SHOULD NOT be repeated. If the request method was not HEAD and the server wishes to make public why the request has not been fulfilled, it SHOULD describe the reason for the refusal in the entity. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
Tired solution mentioned https://pdn.pega.com/support-articles/asked-crendentials-when-downloading-logs. but no luck. Could you please suggest.

You can follow the document and create a SMA user with the role of PegaDiagnosticUser.

You can login using these credentials to fetch the logs from SMA.

Thanks for your response. My requirement is to allow all user to access the log from Pega application as well as from SMA. How can I do that?

If you do not want to restrict access to the System Management Application, edit the web.xml file and
delete the <security constraint> element.
Note : Changing this setting in the web.xml file might require redeploying the PegaRULES Application.

Can anyone please help by providing the steps for WebLogic to assign PegaDiagnosticUser role to a specific user to provide privilege to download log?
I hope this needs to be done from WebLogic console, it will be helpful if someone can provide the steps to do the same.
