Locking scenario while using Update Case smart shape
Hi All,
While using the Update Case smart shape to update the parent case with child case information using the pxCoverInsKey, is the locking part handled by default? Suppose the parent case is locked by some other operator, what would happen in that scenario? Do we have to take into consideration the locking as well?

@MarcLasserre_GCS - What about the scenario where we select not to lock the parent case in the child case type locking settings?

@CDS07 When Default locking is enabled on Parent Case, when Update case in the child case is triggered it will check whether lock is with the user or not in default locking. If Parent is locked by some one other than the user who is working, then it will throw Lock error and data wont be updated.
By enabling Optimistic locking in the Parent Case, even though if Parent is locked by other user than the once who is working on child case it wont throw any error when Update Case is triggered in the Child Case. Data will be updated with out any failure. Concluding based on scenario simulation.
