link cases
Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to link cases between them without using a child case?

Could you please let us know based on what condition you want to link the cases.
One scenario is below:
Let us suppose you have two cases Case1 & Case2.
Whenever you are working on Case1 instance, you have an option to create a work object of Case2.
In this case if you want to link these two cases you can create a property in Case1 and store the pzInsKey of the Case2 work object in this property and can do vice-versa to store the PzInsKey of Case1 in Case2.
In this way the cases will not have any dependency but both can be accessed from any of the work object.
Please let us know you exact requirement if this work around will not be helpful for your use case.

To support linking more than 2 cases, you can also just generate a UUID, storing in a property for all the related cases, generate a report def / data page that can show the related cases in a gadget in the harness if desired. Similar to the prior reply, but maybe a little more flexible

Hi,
Am Pega Learner and I have similar question...
I have 2 Cases ... Service Request (Case 1) & Customer Account (Case 2)....
While an operator creating a Service Request Case... he need to see the list of customer accounts (Customer Name, Customer ID Number) and he need to pick the right customer account for whom he is raising the Service Request.
Can any one explain how to do this.

You can create a Grid in the section of "Service Request" case type and source it with either a Data Page or Report definition and add a select button (radio button) . But you need to have an embedded page property in your Service Request Case type to store the data of selected customer.
