Interrogating Web Application
Hi,
I am attempting to interrogate a windows application, but Pega is not able to interrogate the textboxes within the app. When I try to interrogate the textboxes, Pega instead highlights the window of the app and labels it as "Control". I tried interrogating other sections of the app but get the same result. I've attached an image.

I highlighted all the controls that I am able to (some did not show the highlight option), but it did not highlight the textboxes. It is a Windows Application built in Windows 95. The factories matching in the object explorer are ActiveXFactory, MicrosoftHTMLFactory, and WinInetFactory.

Hmm that is pretty old. You may need to open a Support Request to request Support for that application. It most likely isn't supported. Support's next step here will be to load Process Explorer (a Microsoft Utility) onto the machine and check what DLLs the application is loading to find more specifically about what technology is being used. If you could find that information out then it could be more accurately said if it is supported or not.

I loaded the Process Explorer onto the machine and attached an image of the results. Thanks for your help!

Can you please show us the loaded dlls? Also, have you looked on the Windows Controls tab in Studio? Can you expand everything on that tab and take a screenshot as well?

Yes, Sasnt is correct. The option to see the dlls is under View --> Lower Pane --> Dlls ... or something like that. Also you can drag the little target icon onto the application frame and it will automatically locate which process it is.
Does a tab for Virtual Controls show on the adapter?
If it is there, try searching for the control in that section. Expand the down the tree and highlight controls to verify you're traversing the correct path to see if you can see those textboxes.

Can you tell me what Factories are matching in the object explorer? Is this web application flash or any other technology like java?
