How to allow external users to attach files on external assignments?

We have a requirement where external user (without a Pega operator profile) needs to be provided with an option to attach files on a case. Considering the limitations of the DWA external assignment, is there any workaround for achieving this?

I was able to add the functionality for external users to add an attachment in external assignment following the steps described in the article mentioned above. There is a limitation, though, you can only attach one file at a time.
