Does DWA(Directed Web Access) allow External user to attach attachment

Greetings !!

We have business requirement to allow External users( who does not have access to PEGA application) to attach the files when they open the CASELINK sent by External Assignment.

I went through some basic video found in "Pega Integration Specialist" course. Which says:

  • in External assignment AJAX doesn't work. Autocomplete is not supported.
  • it supports only Static UI.
  • UNSURE about attachments capabilities

Anyway this course is in 6.2 version. But we are on 7.2.2 version and does not know if any improvement done afterwards.

I have found some discussion on pdn, But it doesn't sounds good as per my requirements.

Appreciate relevant advice..

Hi,

DWA does not allow attachments.

An alternate approach could be designing email listener facility and send email with case id in the subject and attachments.

Hi Santanu,

DWA does not allow users to attach file, even with any Java customization. 

Is this correct ? 

One more qn, can we send attachment to the external user using DWA ? basically from PEGA to external user. 

Is PEGA restricting the either scenario's ?
