how to retrieve the attachments stored in external systems
There are some pdf files, some excel files, etc. They are stored in external database. how to aceess and retrieve them in prpc?

Hi Dyan,
Please try below solution if possible.
1) store the pdf file name as column in PRPC table related to a row.
2) use one variable for the external system URL.
3)Create one utility by passing url and pdf file name as input parameters to that utility.
4) In utility open the file and attach it to the case. try below pdn article to do this: Download PDF from URL and attach it to work object

Is the external database associated to any Enterprise content management system ? in the case of which an integration with PRPC is possible.
How is the information stored and what is the version of PRPC in use ?

The requirement is that there are hundreds of PDF files somewhere in the system. Each PDF file is related to a row in a table in PRPC database. We need to be able to retrieve these PDF files while opening the relevant rows from the PRPC. However, the PDF files are not in the PRPC table. They are still in a folder somewhere, and we need to manage them in such a way that we can open relevant records in PRPC and also we should be able to open the PDF files. I am thinking that we store these PDF files somewhere in external database and somehow connect but would appreciate how I can connect to the relevan tows in PRPC table.
Any thoughts, plz.
